Luke and Amanda are another awesome couple who I’ve been able to photograph on their wedding day, and now with the newest addition to their sweet family! It was so great to catch up, and even better to finally get to squeeze this baby boy. Hannah is such a great big sister and baby Clark did so great for our session that I wanted to just bring him home with me!

I’ve been lucky enough to get to photograph this sweet couple from their engagement, their wedding, bringing home their first baby, and now as the parents of a one year old! Sweet Declan is a total ham and had us laughing the whole time with his silly faces and baby dinosaur sound effects. We shot these at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens, which is one of my favorite locations. I love that there’s tons of variety, from the flower beds, to the manicured lawns, to the more natural wooded area in the back. Trying to narrow this post down to just a few photos was torture!
Bella – You are just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. And, I’m not sure if you’ve noticed this, but my goodness you are gorgeous! But that’s not all. You’re talented, you’re smart, and you totally rocked this shoot! You are genuine. You are determined. You are driven. You are good. And, on top of all that, you’re SO fun to be around! I can’t wait to see the big things in store for your future! Thank you for choosing me to capture this time in your life.
I’m absolutely loving getting to photograph so many of my friends this year as they make the transition to motherhood. I’ve been looking forward to this session since the very second I got the “I’m pregnant!” text early this year. For Alisa’s maternity photos we decided to go back to White Rock Lake where she and Rocky were married last year. The weather was perfect and the sunset light was absolutely delicious. But none of that compared to how gorgeous Alisa looks at this season in her life.
Hair and makeup: Rachel Jacobson This gorgeous little squish with the most perfect pouty lips and crazy baby bird hair absolutely stole my heart! And to hear his big sister say “bay-beeeee” while smiling from ear to ear was probably the sweetest thing ever. It totally took me back to those first sleepless and crazy weeks with two under two. My hair might not have been washed very often, dishes might have been piled up in the sink, and my kitchen table might have been completely hidden under a mountain of unfolded clean laundry, but those first few weeks as a new family of four were some of the sweetest weeks of my life. At the time, I might not have told you that. But now that I’ve made it through to the other (more rested) side, I’m sure of it.
